Leads team and manages all aspects of Supply Chain in supporting heavy maintenance events and ensure delivery of work completion, vendor performance, and cost reduction objectives are achieved.

Manages all Supply Chain activities needed for heavy check events. Ensures required materials and services are obtained and delivered on schedule and at the lowest total cost.
Ensures requirements are communicated, understood and executed throughout the Supply Chain organization including Material Planning, Purchasing, Repair & Warranty and Material Services to guarantee sources of supply.
Monitors and validates requests based on MPD, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and non-routine requirements.
Audits invoices from Heavy Check vendors for accuracy specific to Supply Chain and related agreement. Administers supplier invoice approval processes to ensure material is provided at the lowest overall cost including factors such as acquisition cost, inventory allocations, backshop / MRO support, contract compliance, and logistics.
Analyzes invoices for errors, captures disputes and corrects invoice amounts. Verifies warranty for parts.
Proactively coordinates with the MRO provider to manage source of supply and to document those parts that are self-supplied vs. MRO provided based on lowest total cost for the organization and contractual terms on an ongoing basis.
Collaborates with Maintenance with proactive measures to continuously improve internal heavy check operations, including cost, service levels, and efficiency initiatives.
Coordinates and supports internal and external business reviews with analytics and improvement recommendations.
Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Requires 5 years of related experience in supply chain, airline industry or equivalent, with some supervision experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Business Management, Aviation or related area.
Prefer at least 5 years of experience in airline or supply chain.
Six Sigma Lean Management preferred.
Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Makes decisions daily on use of resources, performance and budgets. Decisions could require additional expenditure of resources if not sound decisions.
