Manages the Warranty and Repair Groups in developing and achieving annual goals and objectives. Manages departmental staff in the resolution of issues that arise with vendor performance and invoices.

Leads strategic and tactical initiatives; leads the team in development and implementation of Repair and Warranty processes and policies aligned with continuous improvement.
Provides direction and guidance with vendor management; assists the team in negotiation of cost reductions or performance improvement with key or problem vendors.
Assists Senior Management in contract or warranty claim negotiations with Principal Repair and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vendors via the Request for Proposal (RFP), contract and warranty concession negotiation processes; reviews contractual language.
Validates cost accruals, aging open orders, and orders that are closed with no invoice to assure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Ensures that internal controls are effective and compliant with the act.
Represents the Supply Chain Department in Maintenance and Operations daily meetings; provides information and quick resolution to issues raised.
Engages various departments and sub departments including Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Accounts Payable, Material Services, Purchasing, Planning and Aircraft On Ground group to optimize flow of product to and from the vendor. Builds and encourages high performance relationships to facilitate effective communication and problem solving.
Reviews and approves exchanges and repair order quotes above the approval limits of the Analysts.
Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential associates. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Supply Chain Operations, Finance or related field.
Requires 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related area with experience in contract negotiations / administration, vendor management, quote analysis and budgeting.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree (M.A./M.S.) or equivalent in Business (M.B.A.) or related.
Prefer at least 8 years of related experience, including some management / supervision.
Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.)
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
Able to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Able to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, cross-functional groups and vendors.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Able to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Able to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Makes decisions on long-term objectives, resources and policies. Has one of the highest levels of decision making authority. Decisions have the most impact across and outside of organization along with the maximum cost implications to the organization.
