POSITION PURPOSE

Provides flight school support outside of standard working hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Meets, greets and processes all visitors. Directs visitors to appropriate person or location.

  • Maintains building security by issuing visitor identification badges and ensuring building doors are secured.

  • Manages reception area and answers multi-line telephone system; responds to inquiries and directs incoming calls.

  • Safely operates aircraft tugs, GPU, and other equipment. Assist with aircraft positioning in and out of hangar facilities.

  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment throughout the work shift. Follows and enforces the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.

  • Completes all department internal company forms, maintenance records, documents, work orders, etc. including performing maintenance computer system transactions as required.

  • Performs Aircraft cleaning and restocking after flights return.

  • Notifies appropriate staff of any office, lab &/or building repairs & maintenance issues.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promotes a positive customer service attitude internally and externally.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Able to use and navigate within Microsoft Office.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Specialty training beyond high school / Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent.

Previous experience operating aircraft tugs and/or other ground service equipment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other associates of the organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram

form. Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

DECISION MAKING

Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is moderately low.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to work in all weather conditions and work in an open air hangar up to 100% of the time.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
